Top Shelf for Mental Health

Top Shelf for Mental Health promotes mental health awareness this January

The Stevens family in memory of Dr. Rob Stevens is proud to partner with the Parry Sound Shamrocks Hockey Club and Canadian Mental Health Association (CMHA), Muskoka-Parry Sound devoting the month of January to raising awareness about mental health and reducing stigma surrounding mental illness.

Throughout January, teams from all levels in the Shamrocks minor hockey program are encouraged to use green skate laces and green stick tape as a visual reminder to support mental health resilience.

CMHA Muskoka-Parry Sound encourages team members to learn about mental health and addictions. If you or someone you know is struggling and having trouble coping with difficulties and challenges, talk about it with friends or loved ones. You may also reach out CMHA Muskoka-Parry Sound for help. Conversations on mental health help to build healthy and strong communities.

Join The Stevens family, CMHA Muskoka-Parry Sound and HANDS at the Bobby Orr Centre in Parry Sound Jan. 11 for a series of Mites to Midgets games. There will be a CMHA & HANDS booth set up with lots of information on ways you can keep mentally healthy.
