The Canadian Mental Health Association Muskoka-Parry Sound is pleased to announce the opening of a long awaited , newly renovated facility located in the town of Parry Sound. As the primary provider of community mental health and addiction services in Muskoka and Parry Sound, we know how important easy access to our offices are to remote communities, our Indigenous communities, and our physically challenged clients. Our Board, composed of residents of Muskoka, Parry Sound and our Indigenous communities, as well as individuals and family members of those with lived experience know how important our services are to those in need. The new facilities are fully accessible to individuals with limited mobility.. Congratulations to our organization, our staff, our volunteer Board, and all those stakeholders and community partners whose efforts and volunteer hours have made this venture a reality. Our new facility on 60 James Street opened on July 15th. We are open daily from 8:30am to 4:30pm. Services provided include mental health housing, Rapid Access Addiction Medicine clinic, Addictions assessment and treatment, crisis services, psychoeducation groups, Consumer Initiatives, psychotherapy services, Assertive Community Treatment, Case Management, and access to psychiatric consultation. Walk-in counselling clinic is supported by community donations and fundraising on Wednesdays from 4 – 8pm. All members of the public are welcome to come in to learn about the services we offer at any time. No referrals required!
