National Indigenous Peoples Day June 21

On National Indigenous Peoples Day, we must recognize #Indigenous peoples’ right to culturally safe #MentalHealth services that are rooted in traditional healing.

June 21 isn’t the only day of the year when we recognize and celebrate Indigenous peoples, culture and languages. Reconciliation is the work we do every day to dismantle the harms caused by colonialism and take steps to implement the Truth and Reconciliation.

The Hope for Wellness Help Line offers immediate counselling and crisis intervention to all Indigenous peoples across Canada. It’s available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week at www.hopeforwellness.ca #NIPD2022
