(Huntsville, Nov. 27, 2019) – A new live music and masquerade fundraiser in support of community-based mental health in Muskoka and Parry Sound is coming to Deerhurst Resort Saturday, Feb. 22, 2020.
Behind the Mask will feature some of the greatest upbeat and positive music from artists who have powerful messages about mental health. The first fundraiser of its kind for the region, Behind the Mask was the concept Canadian Mental Health Association Muskoka-Parry Sound supporter Ramona Brownell, producer of the show. “We’re so excited to bring together our local communities for a fun evening that celebrates the
important role of community mental health and addictions care,” said CMHA Muskoka-Parry
Sound executive director Diane Brown-Demarco.
“We’re encouraging everyone to wear an eye mask, full costume or come as you are to Behind the Mask, where we’ll dance, clap and sing all night in support of a great cause.”
Musical director Glenn Bladon and his amazing band will be performing, as well as local musicians Leaynne Connolly, Serge Charlebois, Jennifer Fleming and Lewis Hodgson. You’ll hear tunes from Fleetwood Mac, The Beatles, Journey, Tina Turner and much more.
Following the show, Scott from DJ Explosive Device will keep you on the dance floor right until 11 p.m.! In addition to live music, this event will also have a marketplace, silent auction, cash bar and complimentary hors d’oeuvres before showtime.
